Routine Appointments

The Groves Medical Centre is a group practice and you may see any of the doctors.

Attendance at surgeries is by appointment only. For non-urgent appointments please telephone after 11:00am and before 1:00pm. Some appointments will be held back for emergency consultations.

Every effort will be made to ensure a doctor sees you on the day of your choice.

Appointments ar bookable a maximum of 6 days in advance.

Monday appointments are all released on the day only.

At busy times such as Christmas and Easter most days appointments are released on the day.

Urgent Appointments

If you think your problem needs to be dealt with on the same day, please try to telephone before 9.30am and bear n mind that it is not always possible to see the doctor of your choice.

Evening Appointments

We try to keep these appointments for working adults and acute complaints. Unless an emergency we prefer to see children in morning surgery.

Visits

Where possible, requests for visits should be made early in the day and visiting will normally take place after morning surgery. Please keep request for those who are incapable of attending the surgery. Please try to come to the surgery whenever possible, as facilities here are better for examination and treatment. Several patients can be seen in the surgery in the time taken for one house visit. A doctor or nurse will phone you to assess the need for a visit.

Between 6.30 pm and 8.00 am and on Saturdays and Sundays the surgery along with other local pracices is covered by Thamesdoc.

.

Telephone Appointments

If you think your problem can be dealt with on the phone we run telephone surgeries most days
